The truth may set you free, but finding the truth is like playing tennis. You don't get a hint of it until you've returned the volley about three or four times. The mainstream media counts on the masses never returning what's served up. Journalism today has become a caricature not unlike what Robert Lynd describes by saying "Research without an actively selective point of view is like the ditty bag of an idiot, filled with bits of pebbles, straw, feathers and other random hoardings."

Rear Admiral John Poindexter's Office of Information Awareness Has Serious Astigmatism
All Seeing Eye Has Blurred Vision
by Winsip Custer CPW News Service
When ancient stone masons chiseled from the heavy rocks of slavery and subjugation an early labor union that confounded the pharaohs, monarchs and pontiffs who built pyramids, castles and cathedrals that overshadowed the individual, Free Masonry was born. That the early United States was a bastion of Free Masonry including George Washington and others is no surprise given the humiliating dominance of the British and other European royals. That Washington rejected a monarchical position in favor of an elected, limited term presidency, fits the Masonic values. Their all seeing eye, separated as it is from the flat-topped pyramid beneath it, is a reminder that God's all-seeing eye surveys the representative governments beneath and levels the pyramids of dictators. The apex is meant for none other than the supreme deity.
When John Poindexter's Office of Information Awareness, also known as the IAO, was created during the George Walker Bush administration by DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) in 2002, Poindexter adopted an altered form of the ancient Masonic symbol as its logo. It was immediately clear the degree to which the earlier understanding of the Masonic symbol and its emphasis upon a sovereign higher power had been appropriated by the IAO for itself.
I asked Dr. Emil Blutcherbohn of the Gottingen School of Optometry to give his assessment of the IAO's logo. "I have studied the logo under a high powered microscope. You have viewed the logo from a cultural and political perspective. I have viewed it from a purely scientific one and can tell you that the eye in the IAO's logo has a serious, very serious, astigmatism in it. Even if its claim to be Scientia Est Portentia, 'science is power,' the size of the astigmatism in the eye will inevitably lead to misguided assumptions, misdirected actions, serious and tragic unintended consequences and sizable collateral damage. If I were a religious person, or even just a blithering superstitious one, I would say that if you were looking for a clearer example of human pretension and pomposity you would be hard pressed to find it. The earlier version of the logo made no such grandiloquent claims. I have looked at the earlier version under the same microscope and can see no observable astigmatism," said Dr. Blutcherbohn who continued..."it is my layman's belief from what I have read following your recent call, that the Masonic views of George Washington and the others have been usurped. They embraced values that provided for the conscience of the nation an evolving element that would grow into things like the Bill of Rights, Emancipation Proclamation, fair trade, equal protection under law, fair housing and modern civil rights movement. Mr. Poindexter's not so subtle adjustment of this part of Masonic history shows a reversal of their tradition. If I believed there was a god and I were him, I'd be very angry."
