Texas Governor's Race Hairy Proposition
by Winsip Custer CPW News Service
Sr. executives from Young and Rubicam deny allegations that they have provided the scripting for the incumbent Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, in his race against challenger, former Houston Mayor, Bill White.

"We did not come up with the message "Perry's Still Hairy and White Has Hair Blight", said Rufus P. Singleton of Young and Rubicam. "We prefer to stick to the issues in our political ad designs," said Singleton.
When asked if, therefore, there is no truth to the report that they are preparing for a campaign titled "Bill White Sucks" and "No Billiard Balls In Texas" with Mr. White's head doctored with a bright beam of sunlight reflecting from his bald cranium, Singleton reiterated his denial of such reports. However, I have seen advanced copies of the man-on-the-steet videos which are to be used in the ads with dozens of people saying simply "Bill White sucks".

"We stick to the issues in our advertising designs," said Singleton. We asked if that applied to reports that they had encouraged Sarah Palin's advisers to consider, in the event of her future presidential campaign, the slogan "Make Obammy Cry Mammy". Again, they denied the reports with even greater fervor given the secondary question that asked whether this looked as racist as the Willie Horton ad which they had crafted for George H W Bush in his Presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, Bill White's camp has come up with a counter-attack using the same solar reflections from the top of Mr. White's head, but with the slogan "See the Light, Vote Bill White."
