Sasha Baron Cohen as Borat |
Sasha Baron Cohen, aka "Borat", was maintained at the LAX, Los Angeles International Airport on Monday by Office of Homeland Security officer Sidney D O'Malley. After a four hour detainment which separated Borat from his luggage as it traveled on to his destination of London, England, he was release by a court order obtained by his attorney, Frederick Miller.
On Tuesday the internal affairs department of Homeland Security determined that the detainment by O'Malley was unwarranted and O'Malley has been put on administrative leave citing suspicions that he was working for a group of individuals duped in the movie Borat including rodeo promoters, two church pastors, a Birmingham, Alabama etiquette teacher and six other individuals.
Miller has filed a suit against Delta Airlines for Cohen after discovering that the seven trunks and suit cases needed by Cohen for his next performance were shipped to Istanbul, Peking and Buenos Aires. Delta says that it will conduct its own investigation to determined how the actor's baggage was misdirected and why they were all painted lemon yellow when they were eventually found in the respective airports.
