PREACHER TO BURN KROC

Church Members Will Burn Ray Kroc's photos if proposed McDonald's Restaurant isn't moved to new site.

Reverend Wilson T Bentley of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Fayetteville, Arkansas had asked that McDonald's Corp. not build on a site adjacent to the church.  Now, citing the power of what some call "spiritual blackmail" but which Reverend Bentley has termed  "Trinitarian Intimidation Praxis" or TIP, he has rallied his 3,000 member church to burn photos of McDonald's founder Ray Kroc  on stakes atop piles of french fries on September 20th, three days before McDonalds is set to break ground on the new store.

"We tried to be civil, but enough is enough," said Reverend Bentley.  When asked why the church members didn't want the McDonald's nearby he said that many of their church's families have problems with obesity and that having a McDonald's so close to the church would adversely affect his flocks' spiritual, emotional and physical well-being.  "Beside that," said the rotund Reverend Bentley, "everyone knows that people like Kentucky Fried Chicken on Sundays."

McDonald's spokespersons were not available for comment, but an employee asked "what's wrong with Chicken McNuggets?"
