Book Burning Not Enough Says Hollywood Florida Pastor
by Winsip Custer CPW News Service
Not to be outdone by his neighboring church in Miami, Rev. Medicus Von Wagner of the Cross and Sword Church of Hollywood, Florida has challenged his congregation to a burning of an exact replica of the Gutenberg Press, an early Royal typewriter and Xerox machine, TRS-80 computer, an Apple and a host of other symbols of the "Devil's doings", said Rev. Von Wagner, "including floppy drives, CD's, flash drives and Palm Pilots."
"Christians got along without these contraptions for over a thousand years and now that the dang Muslims are using them, it's not enough to burn a handful of Koran's here and there. You've got to go for the jugular and set things right once and for all," said Von Wagner whose wife, Frances Von Wagner, reported his change from a Gillette safety razor to a Wilkinson straight razor as she pointed to a bandage on Rev. Von Wagner's neck.
"People wishing to donate any of these contraptions can do so by dropping them off at the church at 2011 S Church Street in Hollywood," said the pastor. "We set-em ablaze on September 11 at 11:00 a.m. just like those Iraqi barbarians did with the towers in New York City."
When asked if he knew that the 9/11 hijackers were mostly from Saudi Arabia Rev. Von Wagner said "well, then let's drop the big one on Mecca during Ramadan and be done with it."
I asked Rev. Von Wagner whether or not nuclear weapons would fit into his definition of "Devil's doings" and why he would support using one modern invention and not another. He said "I'll preach about that on September 11th...tell everybody!"
