MISLABELED DRUG LEGAL GOLD
by Ima Freda Deuit for CPW News Service
With the recent assertion in the U.S. Senate that the damage in the Gulf caused by the Deep Water Horizon disaster is much more serious than initially reported, this recent fish kill at the Texas State Aquarium has all the earmarks of eco-terrorism, but not by the tree huggers.....by the old fossils who know that tourism and drilling oil are on a collision course. Barbara Liston of Reuters (BP Oil Spill Caused Sickness In Fish, Researchers Find, 7/9/2014) has reported on the spike in fish abnormalities in the Gulf closest to the BP spill region off the coast of Louisiana, but all the Gulf Coast is potentially affected.
David Fishman who owns the Florida company that provided the mislabeled drug to the Texas State Aquarium that killed over 400 fish in the well-known exhibit had sent a letter in 2011 to his customers:
TO ALL ORNAMENTAL FISH CUSTOMERS:
AS OF JANUARY 1ST, 2011 THE UNITED STATES FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION HAS MADE A DECISION THAT ORNAMENTAL/TROPICAL FISH MEDICINE IS TO BE TREATED THE SAME AS ANIMAL MEDICATIONS WHERE IN THE PAST THEY WERE EXEMPT. WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU IS MORE AND MORE RED TAPE AND HIGHER PRICES. WHERE IN THE PAST IT WAS FAIRLY SIMPLE TO IMPORT, NOW IT IS DIFFICULT WITH TREMENDOUS NEW EXPENSES.
WE ASK ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO WRITE ME EXPLAINING THAT YOU NEED MEDICATIONS FOR YOUR FISH AND WITHOUT THEM THE MORTALITY RATE WILL RISE TO WHERE IT IS UNPROFITABLE (OR FOR THE HOBBYIST-UNREALISTIC) TO BE IN THE BUSINESS OR HOBBY. THESE LETTERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND I STRESS THAT YOU FOLLOW THRU BEFORE FOOD AND DRUG'S NEXT STEP WILL BE TO REQUIRE YOU TO SUPPLY A PRESCRIPTION TO BUY ANY PHARMACEUTICAL.
UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED YOU WILL FIND OUR NEW PRICE LIST THAT IS IN EFFECT IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED. FISHMAN CHEMICAL IS MAKING THE SAME PROFIT AS BEFORE AND THE INCREASES ARE THE EXTRA EXPENSES INCURRED.
PLEASE SEND THOSE LETTERS IMMEDIATELY AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL. REMEMBER YOU ALL HAVE CONGRESSMEN WHO WILL LISTEN TO YOUR STORY.
SINCERELY,
DR. DAVID FISHMAN

"If Mr. Fishman's supplier mislabeled the product and it's a big pharma group
with deep pockets, the lawyers will have a field day and the wronged consumers and Fishman, the middle fish man, will also likely benefit from a civil suit. Meanwhile the environment
suffers and the local watchdog groups are so up to their navels in fossil
fuel funding and petro-chemical charity that they are utterly compromised. Fishman will
become the poster child for deregulation saying that it didn't happened until after the switch, but given the control of the
government by the oil cartel it's just a matter of time before the Swamp People
will be harvesting not alligators in the Mississippi Delta, but algae for the
next generation of bio-synthesized fuel from the world's largest sludge
pocket.... the Gulf of Mexico," said Dr. Fin Dorzel of the Helsinki Institute for the Study of Putrid Pollutants.
"With the increased regulation in 2011 as Dr. Fishman's letter and adjusted pricing indicated and this incredible botch job possibly resulting from a post-regulation foul-up, expect the cartel-controlled media to jump on this unintentional mistake or well-engineered bamboozled bungling. It will be fuel for yet another reason that in 2016 the country should continue its post-repeal of Glass-Steagall return to a new era of the 1980's when corporate responsibility was promised, but flamed out atop a well-head flare like that of Enron, WorldCom and all the rest," said Dr. Dorzel.
Dr. Dorzel noted that this issue of compromised marine-health watchers was previously outlined by Dr. Flavius T. Ripples who said that the contempt for the planet is seen in the loss of a tiny panel on global warming that was to have been added to the $125 million addition to the Dallas, Texas Museum of Natural Science:
A non-profit foundation founded in 1990, the Gulf of Mexico Foundation, is funded by Shell Oil, ConocoPhillips, Transocean and “partners” including Anadarko Petroleum, British Petroleum, Marathon Oil Co., Walt Disney’s Worldwide Wildlife Fund and Rowan Companies. Its director is Quenton Dokken a marine biologist. Heavily tied to the oil and gas industry the Gulf of Mexico Foundation provides a window on the industry’s desire to give a good showing of concern for the oil rich Gulf, but the cross-purposes and potential conflicts of interest in the Gulf have many environmentalists crying foul (ProPublica, “Nonprofit conservation group has ties to oil interests, May 4, 2010, retrieved from http://www.propublica.org/ion/blog/item/non-profit-conservation-group-has-ties-to-big-oil-interests-gulf-oil-spill on 1/1/15). A close look at the Board of Directors of these companies shows the clear, but disjointed connection between the petro-chemical industry and the Gulf Coast fishing and culinary industries. Just as with the 2008 global financial meltdown that had been shown in the 2010 film “Inside Job” produced by Charles Ferguson and featuring Matt Damon, academia and the financial institutions are mutually compromised, the same is true for the Gulf of Mexico Foundation and the Texas universities that are suppose to be champions of intellectual honesty but like the bumbling museum in Dallas' and the Houston Museum of Natural History they are visibly and audibly silent on one of the most pressing concerns of our time. With Ross Perot’s $125 million gift to Dallas’ Perot Museum of Nature and Science and that museum losing an exhibit on global warming, Mark Strauss, the curator reported on the disappearance of the exhibit on climate change in June 2014 calling it a temporary warehousing of the small panel (Mark Strauss,” Texas Museum Censors Exhibit on Climate Change,” I09 Welcome to the Future, 6/16/14, retrieved from http://io9.com/science-museums-are-skittish-about-climate-change-1591364396 retrieved on 1/1/15).

Dr. Flavius T. Ripples has said pointedly and prophetically his challenge to the supposed enlightened world-watchers.....
"Look, the scientific method has the same ethic as the world's greatest spiritually enlightened leaders and I'm not talking ISIS. Was it not Jesus that said "You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free." Both worldviews, science and spirit, demand the same thing. That was what the Reformation and Enlightenment demanded of humanity. Truth! Even when that truth will require great upheaval, yet there are some that believe that this truth-telling should be a mealy-mouthed and unassuming tweeking of the message. We are beyond unassuming. This required more than a tweeking of some off-message PR program. Ninety-seven percent of scientists have grasped the problem. They are on-message! The others? You must at this point genuinely assert boldly that they are motivated by nefarious ambitions.
Dr. Ripples also believes that these groups' leaders are hopelessly compromised....."Let's say you are the chairman of a whale watchers group and environmental advocacy team, but you are also the chief legal counsel for the deep pocketed automotive industry which relies on gasoline and oil? Or you provide legal counsel to the drone industry that has a record of firing depleted uranium shells onto the world's ungoverned places....and I use the word "ungoverned" in a purely rhetorical sense...remembering that Germany during the Nazi era was well-governed and tightly controlled, or you are profiting from the privatization of the environment that guys like T. Boone Pickens says is the future of the world? The Keely fish are just the canaries in the mine shaft. The 97% of scientists who know the truth? They are generally principled and will not become to the wayward well-compromised what Ted Kaczynski became in his attempt to redirect the global mismanagement, the Uni-bomber attacking tech leaders. So in the end the unprincipled will, without massive redirection of individual and corporate responsibility, lead us into oblivion."
When asked if he could give a good example of the type of response needed to correct the problem Ripples stated...."In October, 1996 in the historic slaving-nation of Belgium pre-teen girls were being snatched, held as sex slaves, raped and murdered. The leadership of Belgium did nothing. Grieving parents and their friends went into action. They demanded change and a crackdown on the officials that were protecting the scum suckers. In a nation of eleven million people more than 350,000 marched on the capital....that would be the equivalent of 10.5 million people storming Washington. Did you hear about Belgium's problems here? Of course not. That was Belgium's problem. Well it's not Belgium's problem. It's everyone's problem just as a Predator or Reaper drone firing depleted uranium shells into your back yard is a problem and on this shrinking planet Iraq or Afghanistan is your backyard! Now, the media is normalizing the frack happy, horizontal drilling and making the whole process into a reality show so that it seems normal. Natural. Well there's nothing normal and natural about shoving a few hundred thousand psi of drilling fluids up the earth's sensitive ass!" said Ripples.
Ripples noted that the horizontal drilling process had been pioneered by Houston Texas oil man, Jimmy Joste, whose murder in Austin, Texas became the subject of the book by Burl Barer, Fatal Beauty. Joste was killed by his wife when she feared for their young son's life. "The book might just as well have been titled They Eat Their Young," said Ripples who recommended the article on Jimmy Joste written by Peter Pezonus and titled Somewhere Between the Properline and the Dirty Low Down.
